Spread the Light seeks to create vibrant Eid light displays and Light Parades that celebrate the spirit of unity, diversity, and cultural pride.
By transforming public spaces into beacons of festivity and welcome, the project aspires to foster greater understanding of Muslim traditions while strengthening bonds across communities.
Inspired by the amazing light displays through Ramadan and Eid in the Middle East and the success of Christmas light displays and community switch-on events in Luton and London, Spread the Light envisions Eid as a celebrated and visible part of the cultural calendar—uniting communities, inspiring joy, and shining brightly as a symbol of inclusivity for all.

Spread the Light is a flagship project by Alif New Beginnings, an organisation dedicated to fostering understanding, inclusion, and positive community engagement.
